GOLAGHAT: Congress delegations visited the Golaghat Sadar police station on Wednesday to discuss the recent incident of bottle-throwing at the Chief Minister’s convoy.
The delegations comprised Zakir Hussain Siddique, Rolina Tirkey, Shivamani Bor, and Bhaskar Boruah. Zakir Hussain Siddique claimed that the incident was the work of miscreants and not Congress workers.
The delegation met with the police to clarify that the incident was not related to the Congress party and to ensure that the matter was investigated properly. The team visited the police station on the instructions of Gaurav Gogoi, highlighting the party’s concern over the incident and its willingness to cooperate with the authorities.
The meeting reflected the Congress party’s efforts to distance itself from the incident and to ensure that the truth was uncovered. By engaging with the police, the party aimed to demonstrate its commitment to maintaining law and order and to prevent any further escalation of the situation.
