DIBRUGARH: Cricket Club of Dibrugarh (CCD) secured the 7th JKM Trophy of Excellence after defeating N.F. RLY GHY by 45 runs in the final, held at Jalan Outdoor Stadium, Dibrugarh, on February 15.
Winning the toss, CCD opted to bat first and posted a competitive total of 171/9 in 20 overs. In response, N.F. RLY GHY was bowled out for 126 in 18.5 overs, falling short of the target. CCD’s Sunil Lachit was named Player of the Match for his outstanding performance.
The tournament saw 16 teams competing in a series of exciting day-night matches, culminating in CCD’s title win. The organizers emphasized that the JKM Trophy of Excellence has become a significant event in the region’s cricketing calendar, attracting top talent from across the Northeast.
Similarly, the Cricket Club of Dibrugarh (CCD) and City Cricket Club won their respective matches in the final round of the 6th Assam Premier Club Cricket Championship match at the Judges Field last year in April. CCD beat Club Triranga by 6 runs while City CC beat Biswanath Blue Warriors by 6 wickets.
