DIBRUGARH: Senior officials of the Water Resources Department, Dibrugarh, conducted a thorough inspection of the ongoing construction work at the DTP Dyke, a crucial flood protection project in the region. The inspection aimed to assess the progress of the project and ensure its timely completion.
The project involves the construction of two spurs using geobags, an innovative and eco-friendly technology designed to strengthen the dyke and mitigate erosion risks in the area. The use of geobags is expected to provide added stability to the dyke, protecting the surrounding areas from flood damage.
According to sources, the project is progressing at full pace, with the construction work being carried out as per schedule. The officials expressed satisfaction with the quality of work and the efforts being made by the contractors to meet the stipulated deadline.
