KOKRAJHAR: A discussion between the representatives of the All-Bodo Students Union (ABSU) and the All-Tawang District Students’ Union (ATDSU), Arunachal in Tawang on Tuesday on concretizing the cordial relationship between the Bodos of Assam and Monpa community of Arunachal was held. The ABSU representatives were led by President Dipen Boro while ATDSU was represented by President Sange Dondup and Urgen Tsering. Other members of the ATDSU also took part in the meeting.
ABSU president Dipen Boro said that the ABSU representatives were warmly welcomed by the ATDSU team in Tawang on Tuesday and they held a meeting on common issues, especially strengthening of mutual understanding and enhancing unity and brotherhood. He said that the meeting between the two student bodies saw an enriching discussion on fostering brotherhood between Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, particularly between the Bodo and the Monpa communities.
Boro said that they exchanged ideas on education, youth empowerment, cultural identity, and the unity and integrity of the nation as a whole. He hoped that they would be able to work together with shared ideas in enhancing mutual understanding and brotherhood feelings.
