Assam: Doomdooma College organizes a national seminar on Disaster Management

Doomdooma College in collaboration with Council of Teacher Education Foundation (CTEF), Tinsukia District organized a national seminar on the topic, ‘Disaster Management: Issues, Challenges and Policy Perspective’ on Wednesday.

DOOMDOOMA:Doomdooma College in collaboration with Council of Teacher Education Foundation (CTEF), Tinsukia District organized a national seminar on the topic, ‘Disaster Management: Issues, Challenges and Policy Perspective’ on Wednesday. The seminar was organized in both ‘Online’ and ‘Offline’ Hybrid mode. Altogether 40 college teachers and research scholars presented their research papers in the seminar in three different languages.

The inaugural session of the seminar began with the welcome address delivered by the joint coordinator of the seminar Dr. Lokman Ali. The principal of Doomdooma College Dr Kamaleswar Kalita delivered the inaugural speech.

Delivering the keynote address through online mode, Kiranmoyee Sharma, professor of Indraprastha University, New Delhi dwelt on the natural and man-made disasters, their probable consequences and various measures to mitigate them.s

The president of the governing body of Doomdooma College Prakash Dutta inaugurated the Abstract Bulletin of the seminar. The inaugural session was also attended by former principal of Doomdooma College Dr Abdul Qadir.
