Assam Energy Institute's convocation ceremony held in Sivasagar

Assam Energy Institute held its 2nd Convocation Ceremony at its Sivasagar campus recently.

SIVASAGAR: Assam Energy Institute held its 2nd Convocation Ceremony at its Sivasagar campus recently. The chief guest for the occasion was Rameswar Teli, Union Minister of State, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Ministry of Labour & Employment Government of India. The programme was also attended by Dr S Shamasundar, president of the Board of Governors of RGIPT, Prof. ASK. Sinha, Director, RGIPT; Dr Umaprasana Ojha, Dean Academic Affairs, RGIPT; and other dignitaries.

This year, Assam Energy Institute awarded Diploma to 73 students for academic session 2021- 22 out of which 24 students were from Chemical Engineering, 23 students were from Mechanical Engineering and 26 students were from Petroleum Engineering. Further, the chief guest awarded President's Gold medal to Biplob Newar (Diploma in Chemical Engineering) for his academic excellence and Director's Gold Medal to Anuj Kumar Shah (Diploma in Mechanical Engineering) for his outstanding all-round performance. Also, Biplob Newar from Chemical Engineering, Mayur Pankhi Gogoi from Mechanical Engineering and Sudipta Saikia from Petroleum Engineering received the Institute Gold medals for ranking first in their respective branches.

The chief guest, Rameswar Teli, congratulated all the students and urged them to remain steadfast in their efforts towards the creation of a modern and decisive India. He assured that Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India, will give all its support to make Assam Energy Institute a world-class institute.
