GAFF 2025 will present 25 feature films chosen from over 200 submissions from countries across Asia, including Iran, Nepal, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Azerbaijan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Turkey. A special segment will feature films from North-East India, with awards for Best Film, Best Direction, and Best Performance to honor regional filmmakers.
Monita Borgohain, IAS, Honorary Festival Director, expressed her excitement for the event and invited cinema lovers to join in celebrating the power of storytelling through films.
Online delegate registration for the festival closed early on January 31 because of high demand. However, the event is still expected to attract filmmakers, critics, students, and movie lovers, offering a great chance for cultural exchange and networking. In addition to film screenings, the festival will feature panel discussions and workshops, providing opportunities for collaboration among industry professionals and attendees.
