Assam: Ganga Vilas To Reach Guwahati On 21st Feb'23

As per IWAI, the cruise will arrive in Dhubri on 18th February.

GUWAHATI: As per the latest reports, the World's longest river cruise Ganga Vilas is scheduled to reach Guwahati's Pandu Port on 21st of February. The giant cruise arrived at the waters of Bangladesh on 4th February, Saturday. 

As per the statement of Inland Waterways Authorities of India (IWAI) informed that, Ganga Vilas will most probably enter Dhubri district on the 41st day of its inauguration, that is on 18th of February. Certain process including custom security check along with immigration of tourists will be carried on in Dhubri.

Later, after 3 days the cruise will reach the Guwahati city, the IWAI mentioned. As per source, the cruise is scheduled to arrive in Goalpara on 19th of February, Sualkuchi on 20th and Guwahati on 21st of February.

The Ganga Vilas will be stationed in Pandu, where the officials of IWAI will address and host the tourists in a grand manner. The cruise will then carry the tourists towards Kamakhya Temple along with Assam State Museum. They are expected to leave for Tezpur right after a day in Guwahati, on 22nd of February.

Ganga Vilas will later move towards Da Parbatia Temple and Cole Park in Tezpur. On 24th, all the tourists will enjoy their time in Kaziranga National Park and also visit the Biswanath Ghat Temple. The Assam tourism department has undertaken all the charges of preparations at the tourist spots. Since 13th of January, the longest cruise have covered a distance of around 3,200 kilometres.

The cruise have travelled through 27 river systems in five states of India and Bangladesh. The cruise took off the journey from Varanasi. As per the reports, the tourists in Guwahati will reside inside the cruise as it has an accommodation like five-star hotel. The cruise includes all the luxuries for tourists.
