MANGALDAI: The Gurukul Group of Educational Wing (GGEW), a premier academic institution of excellence in Darrang district hosted its grand annual day celebration with pomp and splendor, graced by a number of dignitaries and an enthusiastic jam-packed audience. The event, held on Sunday, featured a variety of cultural performances and moments of pride, highlighting the institution’s dedication to academic excellence and holistic development.
Lighting of the lamp in a traditional way, former legislator Gurujyoti Das inaugurated the celebration symbolizing the illumination of knowledge and wisdom. Principal of Mangaldai College Dr. Kamala Kanta Borah in the function inaugurated the Annual Photo Gallery, displaying the school’s vibrant journey and achievements over the year while Professor of Guwahati University Dr. Dhanjit Deka, inaugurated the specially curated Photo Albums and felicitated the best students and teacher awardees for their exemplary performances and contributions. Professor of Tezpur Central University Dr. Arup Kumar Nath, further honoured the outstanding students and teachers with a heartfelt felicitation in acknowledgement of their hard work and dedication.
Adding a new dimension to the event, senior media person Bhargab Kr. Das, shared words of encouragement and wisdom with the students, leaving a lasting impression on their young minds. The celebrations showcased the institution’s achievements and milestones in academics, extracurriculars, and community engagement.
The cultural performances that followed, including Assamese classical dances and mesmerizing musical renditions, captivated the audience and highlighted the students’ talents. The evening concluded with the national anthem, leaving everyone inspired and motivated.
Expressing his gratitude to all the guest and the august audience, founder and Director of GGEW Er. Durlabh Sarkar reiterated the commitment of the institution to continue to shine as a beacon of excellence, shaping bright futures and nurturing talent.
