GUWAHATI: As Valentines Day is just a day away, cafe’s, restaurants, hotels, malls and shops are all set with their innovative love ideas to deliver on Tuesday. Citizens are shop hopping to but the best of gifts for their loved ones. The most sold gifts among all are candles, soft toys and chocolates.
Evidently, the most popular spot for dating, especially on the V Day is Guwahati’s Dighalipukhuri park. The park is always loaded up with love birds spending quality time. In order to make scenario more lovely, the hotspot will be decorated in red for the V Day.
As per sources, each year the park records a tremendous footfall on the day. The park authorities informed that, decorations have already began in the area with sparkling lights and flowers. The main entry gate of the park will be decorated in a grand manner to attract more people.
The second famous spot for lovers is the Nehru Park, located in Pan Bazar. However, the park will remain close and no visitors will be allowed inside it as the park is going through renovations and transformations for past few years.
When we talk about lovers spot, Shraddhanjali Kanan in Zoo Road can be considered at the top most level. The park is completely decorated for tomorrow, where Assam’s sensational artist, Zubeen Garg will grace the event with his melodies. The theme of the event is love and the name of the programme is ‘Morom-Let’s Spread Love’.
The event will be conducted by an NGO called Touch of Humanity. Visitors can enjoy a series of events and activities including poem recitations, shayari, dance and stand up comedy. Apart from parks, malls like the City Centre in Christianbasti has been decorated with a V Day theme.
A giant heart shape structure filled with flowers can be seen just near the entrance in the ground floor of the building. Red heart and stars are all over the place, making the mall more attractive. The authorities of the mall informed that, the sell has accelerated ahead of V Day.
