Assam: Health Programs Reviewed In Nagaon To Ensure Effective Functioning

The visit aimed to review the implementation of health services and ensure that the programs are running effectively.

NAGAON: A team from the PRC visited several health centers in Nagaon district today, including Samaguri BPHC, Kawoimari FRU, and Gendhali AAM under the Samaguri BPHC. The team conducted monitoring and assessment of the ongoing health programs in these areas.

They were accompanied by officials from the DPMU, including the DPM, DME, and DAM, along with staff from the Samaguri BPMU, including the BPM, BAM, and BDM.

The visit aimed to review the implementation of health services and ensure that the programs are running effectively.

Meanwhile, a day-long workshop on solid waste management was held at Dhing College, Nagaon, organized by Assam Science Technology and Environment in collaboration with the Eco Club of Dhing College and supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India.

The workshop aimed to educate students on vermicomposting, solid waste management (SWM), rainwater harvesting, and the ill effects of improper practices in these areas.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Biman Hazarika, Principal of Dhing College, who emphasized the importance of these practices in today's context. Dr. Sanjeeb Kumar Nath, Coordinator of the Eco Club, introduced the workshop's objectives.

Over 70 participants, including teachers, students, and resource persons, actively engaged in the event. The workshop successfully raised awareness about sustainable practices in waste management and environmental conservation.
