Assam: Huge python rescued in Numaligarh

A massive python was rescued on Sunday near the UBI Bank in Kamargaon, Numaligarh, in a joint effort by local residents and forest officials.

NUMALIGARH: A massive python was rescued on Sunday near the UBI Bank in Kamargaon, Numaligarh, in a joint effort by local residents and forest officials. The snake, which had been terrorizing the area by feeding on migratory birds and local goats in the nearby Karanihola Bil, was safely captured and released in the Deopahar area of Numaligarh.

According to a local resident, the python had been spotted in the area for some time, and concerns had been raised about its presence. Notably, several large-sized pythons have been spotted in the area.
