Assam: Indian Army organizes ‘A Day with Company Commander’

The Indian Army engaged over 140 students and teachers in Bordumsa, Kakopathar, and Margherita through its 'A Day with Company Commander' initiative.

DIBRUGARH: As a part of its ongoing commitment to youth engagement and community outreach, the Indian Army organized ‘A Day with Company Commander’ across Bordumsa, Kakopathar, and Margherita, reaching out to over 140 students and teachers from various local schools.

At Bordumsa, 50 students from Mahatma Gandhi High School participated in an immersive experience that included a motivational lecture, an essay competition, and spirited sports events of volleyball and tug-of-war. The students left with a deeper appreciation for military discipline and national service.

In Kakopathar Camp, Tinsukia, Army hosted a vibrant event themed ‘Friendship, Awareness and Trust,’ involving students from nearby schools. Activities included interactive sessions with the Company Commander, team-building games, and motivational guidance focused on career and leadership.

At Margherita, students and teachers from Blue Bird Secondary School spent an action-filled day participating in an interactive session, volleyball matches, tug-of-war, a fitness challenge, and a community lunch, all of which fostered a spirit of camaraderie.

These events not only showcased the Indian Army’s steadfast commitment to empowering the youth but also strengthened the enduring bond of trust and cooperation with the civil population of the North-East.
