KOKRAJHAR: Indian Oil Corporation Limited of Bongaigaon Refinery today handed over 13 ambulances to the Joint Director of Health Services, Chirang of BTC. This significant contribution underscores the refinery’s commitment to social responsibility and improving healthcare access for the communities surrounding its operations.
The handover ceremony was held at the BGR Sports Complex, BGR Township, Dhailgaon in the Chirang district on the auspicious occasion of the 53rd Bongaigaon Refinery Foundation Day. Nayan Kumar Barua, Executive Director & Refinery Head of Bongaigaon Refinery, formally presented the ambulances to Jatin Bora.
District Commissioner of Chirang District. Dr. Rajesh Panday, District TB Officer, Chirang, represented the office of the Joint Director of Health Services, Chirang. This initiative aligns with Bongaigaon Refinery’s Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) objectives. By providing these essential vehicles, the refinery aims to enhance healthcare accessibility for residents in nearby villages, ensuring timely transportation for medical emergencies and improving overall healthcare outcomes. These ambulances will be instrumental in transporting patients to hospitals, particularly during critical situations, saving precious time and possibly lives. This gesture reflects the refinery’s dedication to the well-being of the community and its commitment to creating a positive impact on the region.
