MORIGAON: The parents’ body of the Jagiroad Central School on Monday met MP Pradyut Bordoloi and handed over a memorandum demanding solving various bottle necks faced by the students of the school. Jagiroad Central School is in dire straits. The new admission process has been stopped for the past three years. The future of the students of the central school is uncertain and heading towards darkness. As the single central school was controlled by the paper mill, it has been dealing with severe issues ever since the Nagaon Paper Mill closed. Since the Assam Industrial Development Corporation just acquired the paper mill, the school was enveloped in darkness. March is the deadline that the Assam Industrial Development Corporation has set, according to the parents. The MP assured the school authorities and parents that he would raise the long-standing problems of the school in the upcoming winter session of the Lok Sabha and discuss the matter with the Union Education Minister. The parents’ body of the school led by Atanu Bora, Dr. Habibur Rahman, Bulbul Chowdhury, Nekibur Rahman, Mohan Das and Surya Kumar Das informed the MP about the pathetic condition of the school and appealed him to solve the problems immediately.
