KOKRAJHAR: As the BTC elections is coming near, different political parties are seen active to garner public support and the joining programmes have been continuing mainly in UPPL and BPF in BTR. Joining programmes are seen to be a common phenomenon in every corner.
On Saturday, as many as 50 BPF members joined the UPPL in a joining programme held at Joypur under Debargaon block committee on March 1. MLA Lawrence Islary, former Deputy Chief of BTC Kampa Borgoyari and UPPL leaders welcome and felicitated the new members with Aronai and party skirf.
Talking to media persons, former BTC Deputy Chief Kampa Borgoyari said the 50 new members who have joined the UPPL were strong supporters of the BPF and they worked hard for the BPF but inspired by the commitment and dedication of the UPPL for the all-round development of the people of the region with collective responsibilities they have joined the UPPL. He also said many intellectuals and senior citizens have been giving their endorsement to UPPL led BTR government for sustainable development. The president of Debargaon block UPPL Bijit Basumatary said the people of the region were going to bide farewell to BPF as they have failed to take notice of grievances of common people other than selective people based on their favoritism. He also said this time the BPF president Hagrama Mohilary will face defeat in his Debargaon constituency.
On the other hand, a joint workers’ meeting of the BPF was held at the Sobaijhar Primary BPF office recently. The joint workers’ meet of the youth BPF, women BPF, and BSU was organized by the Sobaijhar Block BPF.
