KAZIRANGA: On January 11, 2024, Bhadoi gave birth to a calf named Pari in the Bagori Range of Kaziranga National Park. This beloved little calf, born at the start of the year, was lovingly named Pari by her mahouts. Under their care and affection, Pari grew into a cheerful and playful calf, delighting everyone with her antics. Pari, the granddaughter of Krishna and the daughter of Bhadoi, inherited a lively and charming personality, earning her the affection of both staff and visitors.
Throughout the day, Pari could be seen joyfully frisking around her mother, bringing smiles to all who watched her. Her strong bond with her caretaker and her lively nature have made her an integral part of the National Park's community.
Currently, the Bagori Range is home to 18 domesticated elephants cared for by the Forest Department, including six calves. Among them, Pari and another notable calf, Kristy, have gained special attention. To mark Pari’s first birthday, the Forest Department organized a health check-up for all departmental and privately owned elephants, ensuring their well-being.
