Assam: Man accused of murdering wife in Rangia

One Rahul Kumar Singh, Station Master of Kendukona railway station, allegedly stabbed his wife Anjali Singh to death in front of their two children.

RANGIA: One Rahul Kumar Singh, Station Master of Kendukona railway station, allegedly stabbed his wife Anjali Singh to death in front of their two children at wee hours on Thursday. According to Nabajyoti Nath, OC Rangia, the couple from Bihar was residing in a rented house of Barun Das with their two male children at Ward No. 3, Rangia near NH-27.

When the owner of the house heard sounds of crying, he reached the spot and noticed that both the children were crying outside the house saying that their father had killed their mother. When Das entered the room, he found that Anjali Singh was lying on the ground.

Das informed Rangia police who rushed to the spot and started investigation. After the incident, the suspected murderer Rahul Kumar Singh had jumped over the closed gate and fled. The cause of the murder was unclear and police have launched an intensive search for Rahul. Forensic dept and CID teams reached the spot and the dead body was sent for post mortem at GMCH, Guwahati.
