BOKO: A man going by the name of Jayanta Rabha was killed in a bloody fight in Chakrapani, Boko, on the late night of December 16. According to sources, persistent harassing was the cause of the incident. Reports stated that Padumi Rabha's brother-in-law, Jayanta Rabha, abused her while intoxicated, leading to a fight.

Earlier this year, following a disagreement with a senior student at the same school during school hours, a teenage student in class IX tragically and unexpectedly passed away. The terrible event happened today at Padum Pukhuri High School in the Darrang district's Mahaliapara village, which is within the jurisdiction of the Sipajhar Police Station.

Bhabesh Deka, the only son of prominent businessman Hem Chandra Deka, has been identified as the victim student. Around ten in the morning, as the first class was coming to an end and the next one was about to begin, the incident occurred.

Bhabesh was taken from his class by a gang of four class X pupils who headed to class IX. The group's leader initially charged him, got into a fight with him, and struck him in the head. Bhabesh suffered severe injuries during the assault. He was taken to the adjacent Deomornoi hospital first, and subsequently to Mangaldai Civil Hospital, where the on-call attending physician pronounced him dead.
