Assam Minister Ranoj Pegu Inaugurates Model Anganwadi Centres In Dhemaji

Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu inaugurated 11 newly constructed Model Anganwadi Centres under the Bordoloni Integrated Child Development Scheme in Dhemaji.

DHEMAJI: In a significant move, Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu inaugurated 11 newly constructed Model Anganwadi Centres under the Bordoloni Integrated Child Development Scheme in Dhemaji district on March 19.

"Today, at Sundarpur Model Anganwadi Centre, I inaugurated 11 newly constructed Model Anganwadi Centres under the Bordoloni Integrated Child Development Scheme in Dhemaji district, built at a cost of 2.75 crore. I also launched the construction of 20 more centres, estimated at 5 crore. Everyone must work together with the government to create a child-friendly environment in these centres," minister Ranoj Pegu stated on his official handle X.

"Childhood is a crucial phase of growth, requiring proper nutrition, education, and healthcare. Consistent efforts have been made to strengthen the child-care system by establishing Anganwadi centres across the country as well as in Assam," he further stated.

“Anganwadi centres are the first level of education for the mental development of children. Formal education has been designed in a playful manner through these centre so that children can achieve mental development.” This statement was made by Lakhimpur MLA Manab Deka while inaugurating the Model Anganwadi Centre at Lilabari Balijan last year in September.
