JAGIROAD: The Additional District Commissioner (Agriculture) of Morigaon, Anusua Sharma, on Friday flagged off the promotional van of the government scheme implemented under the Agriculture Department.
The programme included an awareness meeting on the departmental schemes in the presence of the farmers at the auditorium of the District Agriculture Officer’s office, Morigaon. The meeting was chaired by District Agriculture Officer Ashok Kumar Sharma.
The meeting also discussed the successful implementation and expansion of the Pradhan Mantri Krishak Sanman Nidhi and created awareness.
The meeting was attended by the district agriculture officer, and he urged the farmers to take advantage of the departmental schemes. In conjunction with the function, Padmeswar Nath, an entrepreneurial farmer under Mayang Krishi Chakra, received micro-irrigation insecticides under the horticultural crop scheme; two farmers received horticultural insecticides, and 10 women farmers of the Yangli Krishak Producer Company received manure beds, and several farmers received mulching, and green nets were distributed.
In addition, potato seeds were officially distributed to women of the Prahelikaa Krishak Group National Agriculture Development Plan 2024-25, and soil health certificates were issued to four farmers.
