JAMUGURIHAT: A motivational programme for the NCC cadets of Kusumtola Anchalik HS School convened by the NCC troop of the school was held at the conference hall of the school on Saturday.
The programme was held with Biren Kumar Nath, president of SMDC in the chair. Colonel Madhab Boro, the commanding officer of 5 Assam NCC Battalion NCC graced the occasion as a chief guest. Addressing the session, Colonel Boro asked the cadets to dream big and work objectively to achieve the goal. He briefly presented a lecture on how to join the uniform services and benefits of NCC. Colonel Boro also traced the role of NCC in the nation building process.
Krishna Kamal Gupta, the commanding officer of 12 AP Battalion attended the event as a guest of honour. He talked about the NCC and its role during national calamity and civil defence. He encouraged the cadets to join the uniform services whether it is the army or state police services. The day-long programme began with illumination of a ceremonial lamp by the guests followed by a welcome address offered by Kamal Bhattarai.
Associate NCC Officer Anjan Baskota graced the programme as an invited guest. He also addressed the session and motivated the cadets to join uniform services by citing opportunities for NCC cadets. A series of cultural programmes were exhibited by the cadets showcasing national integrity and unity in diversity.
