Assam: MYM Dhekiajuli Shikhar branch ushers in new leadership

MYM Dhekiajuli Shikhar Branch held its 4th Oath Ceremony & 2024–25 Presidential Awards at Marwari Panchayat Bhawan on May 27 with great zeal.

DHEKIAJULI: The Marwari Yuva Manch (MYM) Dhekiajuli Shikhar Branch celebrated a landmark occasion with its 4th Oath-Taking Ceremony and Presidential Awards for the 2024–25 session, held at the Marwari Panchayat Bhawan on May 27 amid much enthusiasm and cultural fervour.

The solemn event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the stirring notes of the State Anthem, setting the tone for a day steeped in tradition and vision. Chief guest Chandan Mal Bothra, a great social worker and a top industrialist of Dhekiajuli co-district, alongside Advisor Bhagirath Parikh, performed the ceremonial opening in the presence of esteemed dignitaries. Among the distinguished guests were Amit Chandak, Zonal Vice-President of Mandal, and Marut Karwa, Assistant Secretary of the Mandal, whose encouraging words inspired the attendees, especially the youth.

In a moment of pride and continuity, Akash Patodia took the oath as President of the branch, administered by Chandan Mal Bothra. The position of Branch Secretary was handed over to Bikram Manot, with the oath administered by Amit Chandak.

Newly-elected President Akash Patodia unveiled his executive committee, which includes Treasurer Krishna Lahoti, vice-presidents Nemi Chand Sharma (Dinesh) and Ambika Sharda, Joint Secretary Abhishek Bhati, and a robust working team, pledging to steer the branch towards impactful community service and youth development.

Marut Karwa carried out the oath-taking of the entire executive team, while Manju Chandak (Mitali) inducted four enthusiastic new members into the Manch with ceremonial commitment.

A highlight of the event was the Presidential Awards, where Nemi Chand Sharma (Dinesh) and Amit Chandak were honoured for their exceptional contributions. Outgoing President Jay Prakash Parikh, moved by nostalgia, reflected on his enriching journey, acknowledging the tireless efforts of his team and encouraging the new leadership to dream bigger. Adding a reflective tone, outgoing branch secretary Akash Patodia presented an impressive report of key initiatives and accomplishments undertaken by the branch during the past session, emphasizing the Manch’s sustained commitment to social upliftment.

In his inaugural address, President Akash Patodia outlined his vision for public service and youth empowerment, igniting hope for continued progress. Branch Secretary Bikram Manot concluded the formal proceedings with a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the presence and support of all dignitaries, members, and well-wishers.

The ceremony was meticulously and gracefully anchored by Nemi Chand Sharma (Dinesh), ensuring a smooth flow of proceedings. The memorable day concluded with the national anthem and a community meal, reinforcing the spirit of unity and fellowship that defines the Marwari Yuva Manch.
