Assam: Nagaon DC Visits School, Emphasizes Use Of Modern Resources For Academic Excellence

NAGAON: District Commissioner of Nagaon, Narendra Kumar Shah, IAS, visited Juria Higher Secondary School in the northern part of Assam's Nagaon district on 5th February, 2025. During his visit, he interacted with both teachers and students to understand the overall educational atmosphere at the school.

He inspected various facilities, including the library, science laboratory, ICT lab, and mid-day meal arrangements, and also assessed the cleanliness of the campus. Shah encouraged teachers to make the most of the modern resources provided by the government to enhance students' academic performance.

Reflecting on the school's diamond jubilee celebration in 2023, he highlighted the importance of continuous efforts for academic excellence and the overall development of students.

Meanwhile, the external evaluation for Gunotsav 2025 began in Nalbari on Wednesday, with officials visiting schools in the district to assess the quality of education. Deputy Commissioner Varnali Deka, IAS, visited PM Shri Ghograpar Secondary School as an External Evaluator.

During her visit, she interacted with students to assess their learning progress through various activities and discussions. She also spoke with teachers about their teaching methods, classroom challenges, and ways to improve the school environment.

Gunotsav is an initiative by the Assam government to enhance education in government schools by evaluating them, identifying areas for improvement, and improving student performance. The external evaluation provides a fair assessment of the education system and helps in planning future improvements.
