Rangia: NIPER Guwahati organized an Open Science Day on Friday hosting school students and providing a unique platform to explore the world of pharmaceutical and biological research. The event, driven by a vision to inspire young minds, saw the participation of approximately 220 students from two schools, St. Vivekananda English Academy, Guwahati and Rupkonwar Academy, Changsari along with their faculty members.

 During the event, the students had the opportunity to tour NIPER Guwahati’s state-of-the-art laboratories and interact with the institute’s Scientists, Students and Research scholars. Dr. USN Murty, Director of NIPER Guwahati, while addressing to the students emphasized the critical need to cultivate an interest in cutting-edge research among young students, highlighting its importance for the nation’s progress.

 Faculty members and research scientists addressed the students, providing insights into career pathways after completing their 12th-grade education and underscoring the growing demand for Pharmaceutical scientists and Biotechnologists in the country. During their visit, the students explored various departments within NIPER Guwahati, engaging in interactive sessions with research scholars and scientists. The Open Science Day at NIPER Guwahati aimed to spark curiosity and encourage students to consider future careers in the pharmaceutical and biological sciences.
