Biswanath Chariali: One Amal Das working with the Indian Army was arrested by police on Wednesday night from Garehagi village under Biswanath Chariali police station. According to information, Amal, son of Khagen Das of Kamalpur, Rangia, had allegedly made comments on social media against a particular religious community a few days back. Earlier, a case was registered in this respect in Biswanath Chariali police station bearing number 107/2020 under sections of 153A, 295A, 506 of IPC and 67 of IT Act. The arrested army personnel had completed his army training around two months back and was staying at his uncle’s home on leave.
