A CORRESPONDENT
DEMOW: Based on special information, the Demow Police seized the car (TR 01 AW 1762) carrying ganja from the Demow Santipur area on the NH-37 on Saturday. The car was bound for Duliajan.
According to sources, the car was carrying the consignment of ganja from Tripura.
The two people onboard the car were identified as Sukhendra Deb Barman and Niresh Deb Barman. They made a new chamber underneath the car and brought the 55 ganja packets.
According to sources, the value of the seized ganja in the market is around Rs 14 lakh.
