Assam: Prohibitory orders issued for AAO Screening Test in Sonitpur district

The Screening Test for the post of AAO in AEGCL to be conducted by APSC is scheduled to be held on April 6 at two centers in Sonitpur district.

TEZPUR: The Screening Test (OMR & Written) for the post of Assistant Accounts Officer (AAO) in Assam Electricity Grid Corporation Limited (AEGCL) to be conducted by Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) is scheduled to be held on April 6 at two centers namely, (1) Darrang College, Tezpur, and (2) Tezpur College, Tezpur in Sonitpur district

In view of this and for smooth conduct of the examination, District Magistrate Ankur Bharali issued a prohibitory order U/S 163 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023 effective throughout the examination centres of Sonitpur district. Accordingly, no person/guardian is allowed within the radius of 100 meters of the examination centres except the candidates appearing in the examination (with valid Admit Card duly signed by the competent authority), the supervisory staff and checking squad associated with the examination and agencies of the government involved in the enforcement of law and order and the maintenance of essential services and government employees/officials engaged in the conduct of the examination. No parking and plying of vehicles will be allowed within the radius of 100 meters from the examination centres except that of authorized persons on duty during the examination period. Mobile phones, calculators and any other electronic gadgets/communication devices such as any bluetooth devices, smartwatch, earphones, etc. shall not be allowed inside the examination centres/premises except that of the Centre In-Charge and authorized persons on duty. No food stalls, shops including existing markets will be allowed within the radius of 100 meters of the examination centres. No other person will be allowed to guide candidates for sitting at their allotted seats except the supervisory staff of the respective examination centre.

This order will come into force w.e.f. 6:00 AM on April 6, and shall remain in effect till the examination process is over. Any violation of this order will invite penal action as per Section 223 of BNS.
