DIGBOI: The second quarterly meeting of the Thana Level Nagarik Committee (TLNC) was held at Digboi in Tinsukia district here today. The crucial meeting was held as per the directives of the Government of Assam via e-memo eCFNO247517/238 securing approval of the Chief Minister of Assam. The Digboi TLNC session for the second quarter, held with Dhiraj Gogoi in the chair, aimed at chalking plans and activities for the month of April marked by the festive season. Nominated members of the TLNC including the former deputy commissioner Lakhinanandan Gogoi, Laxman Sharma, Hemanta Buragohain, Anupam Das, and Ali Hazarika were present in the meeting, together with Dibya Jyoti Dutta, Inspector-cum-ex officio secretary of the organization. The house, as desired, chalked out various activities to be undertaken for the overall good of the society. Action plan for encouraging educational excursions to Digboi Bogapani-based Arboretum and Bambusetam, a semi botanical garden, reaching the mass through goodwill messages from the TLNC, liaisoning with the line departments to rehabilitate the drug addicts of the jurisdiction, and conducting motivational and counselling sessions for the school and college students of the area was discussed. Gogoi, former DC, enriched the house sharing his opinions along with the OC Digboi who hailed the efforts of the organization, making it a meaningful and a goal-oriented session.
