Assam: SEED Mission organizes ‘Career Counselling Programme’ in Kokrajhar

The SEED, under the aegis of the Skill Employment and Entrepreneurship Department, BTC, organized a day-long career counselling programme at the auditorium of Girls College, Kokrajhar.

KOKRAJHAR: The Skill Employment and Entrepreneurship Development Mission (SEED), under the aegis of the Skill Employment and Entrepreneurship Department, Bodoland Territorial Council, organized a day-long career counselling programme at the auditorium of Girls College, Kokrajhar, on Tuesday.

 The programme was attended by distinguished dignitaries and renowned counsellors. Raju Narzary, Secretary of UPPL, inaugurated the event, emphasizing the importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and careers related to climate change.

Kwrwmdao Wary, Faculty of Law College, Kokrajhar, and Vice-President of All Bodo Students Union (ABSU), elaborated on careers in law and strategies for success in this field. Dr Sangrang Brahma, Secretary of the Assam Football Association, advised students to remain emotionally stable and focused on their studies. Dr Sanghamitra Choudhury, Head of the Political Science Department at Bodoland University, shared her academic experiences and encouraged students, especially girls, to aim high and explore opportunities. Ranjan K Baruah, Adviser of SEED, BTC, briefed students on various career opportunities and essential attributes for success, including 21st century skills and employability skills.

Other esteemed guests included Dr Anil Kr Basumatary, Vice-Principal of Kokrajhar Girls College and Dr Rajib Kr Das, Librarian of Girls College.

Students from various colleges, including Kokrajhar Government College, Science College, UN Academy, Aronai College, Commerce College, and Bodoland University, actively participated in the programme and appreciated the initiatives of Pramod Boro, Chief Executive Member, and Wilson Hasda, Executive Member of the Bodoland Territorial Region, in promoting career development through such outreach programmes.
