Assam: Seijosa road connectivity restored after landslide disruption

JAMUGURIHAT: A landslide struck the Golleso area of Seijosa on the night of July 17, disrupting traffic on the vital Upper Seijosa–Golleso road. The natural calamity prompted immediate response from the local administration under the leadership of Biyuram Wahge, State Minister for Health, Family Welfare, and Water Resources. District Commissioner Beni Lego and Additional Deputy Commissioner Kesang Wangda spearheaded the relief operations. By early morning, the route was successfully cleared, restoring essential connectivity for residents and travelers. Minister Wahge, along with the DC, ADC, and engineers from the PWD and RWD departments, visited the landslide site to assess the damage. Their visit extended to the local government higher secondary school, where the Minister assured that longstanding issues faced by the institution would soon be addressed.
