TEZPUR: The district-level ceremonial distribution of application forms under the Mukhyamantrir Nijut Moina Aasoni and Mukhyamantrir Nijut Babu Aasoni was conducted across Sonitpur district in line with the state-level launch programme held at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, Guwahati.
As part of the initiative, ceremonial programmes were organised at 12 higher educational institutions, including Sonitpur Polytechnic and Tezpur University, covering all Legislative Assembly constituencies of the district. The venues included Chatia College, College of Teacher Education, Tezpur, Darrang College, Government Model College, Borsola-Doomdooma, Government Model Degree College, Balipara, LGB Girls' College, Lokanayak Omeo Kumar Das College, Rangapara College, Sonitpur Polytechnic, Tezpur College, Tezpur University, and Tyagbir Hem Baruah College.
The live streaming of the central programme, graced by the Chief Minister of Assam, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, was screened simultaneously across all ceremonial venues as well as in higher secondary and higher secondary schools, colleges, and universities across the district. Following the live telecast, application forms under both schemes were ceremonially distributed to eligible students.
