Assam: Sri Sri Ramkrishna Paramhamsa’s Birth Anniversary Celebrated with Book Donation

The birth anniversary of Sri Sri Ramkrishna Paramhamsa was marked by a book donation to the District Library.

SIVASAGAR: The 199th birth anniversary of Sri Sri Ramkrishna Paramhamsa, the revered spiritual leader, social reformer, and educator of colonial India, was celebrated recently with a day-long programme at Sri Sri Maa Kali Temple in Babupatty, Sivasagar.

The event was organized by the Sivasagar district branch of the All India Sri Sri Ramkrishna Paramhamsa Memorial Committee. As part of the celebrations, the Kolkata-based Sri Sri Ramkrishna Paramhamsa Memorial Committee continued its decade-long tradition of donating valuable books in both English and Assamese to the Sivasagar District Library. Over the past ten years, the committee has provided thousands of books covering various fields of knowledge and wisdom, free of cost.

The auspicious occasion, dedicated to spiritual philosophy and social reform, saw the participation of several dignitaries, including senior journalist Pranjal Rajguru, who is also the state chief coordinator of the Indian Patriotic Federation Socialist (IPFS), along with other distinguished representatives.
