Assam: Swasthya Sewa Utsav Evaluation Conducted in Sivasagar

SIVASAGAR: Nayanjyoti Rajbonshi, Divisional Forest Officer (SF), Sivasagar, along with Anjuma Changmai, District Community Mobilizer (DCM) of the National Health Mission (NHM), visited the Khelua Block Public Health Centre (BPHC) in Sivasagar to evaluate the Swasthya Sewa Utsav initiative recently. The visit marked a significant milestone in the ongoing effort to enhance healthcare services in Assam.

The evaluators were greeted warmly by the staff, who presented them with traditional gamosas as a gesture of respect. Dr. Prodip Buragohain, Sub-Divisional Medical Officer (SDMO) of Khelua BPHC, accompanied by the Block Programme Manager (BPM), led the team on a detailed tour of the facility. They showcased various components of the healthcare centre, emphasizing the services and infrastructure available.

The Swasthya Sewa Utsav, organized by the NHM under the Government of Assam, is a statewide initiative aimed at assessing and improving the quality of healthcare services. The visit concluded successfully, with the evaluators providing valuable feedback and suggestions for further improvement. “We are proud to be part of this important initiative and are committed to implementing the recommendations received,” said Dr. Buragohain. The Khelua BPHC also expressed gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the evaluation and showcase their dedication to providing quality healthcare to the community.
