GOLAGHAT: The Tai Ahom Youth Parishad, Assam (TAYPAA) organized its Central Rik Khwan Myung Khwan ceremony at Sarupathar Subdivision on Thursday at the Sukafa playground with a two-day long programme.
The ceremony began with the flag hoisting, followed by tree plantation, and offering of tributes to the departed souls. The event, conducted under the leadership of Manchaw Tileshwar Mohan, also included a meeting of veteran activists.
On the second day, the event featured a cleanliness drive, a painting competition, and a quiz competition. The Dhanasiri subdivisional committee meeting was also held, where important decisions were taken, including the reconstitution of the committee. A new committee was formed with Bhaskar Jyoti Gogoi as the President and Utpal Handique and Abhijit Gogoi as joint secretaries.
The event concluded with a cultural programme, where various artistes performed traditional dances and songs. The organizers thanked the participants and attendees for their cooperation and support.
