Assam: Three Minor Boys Burnt To Death As Thatched Shed Catches Fire

While speaking to the media on the same, Charaideo SP Sudhakar Singh said that the incident occurred on Friday at 10:30 AM.

Guwahati: In a shocking incident, three boys aged between 5-6 years were burnt to death in Assam's Charaideo district on Friday.

According to reports, these boys were burnt to death, when they were inside a thatched shed which caught fire.

As per the police, the boys were lighting cigarettes after which the shed caught fire.

While speaking to the media on the same, Charaideo SP Sudhakar Singh said that the incident occurred on Friday at 10:30 AM.

''They were lighting cigarettes inside the shed when it caught fire. One of the boys, managed to escape, while the other three were killed in the fire."

The police team have arrived at the spot and conducting an investigation.

''It will be too early to comment on the case right now, but initial investigation suggests that three of them died as a result of burn injuries," the SP added.

Out of three boys, two have been identified as Biva Munda and Anud Munda of Baruahola village of Charaideo district.
