Guwahati: Two students from Assam jointly shared the second rank in the ISC class 12th result which was announced by the Council For the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) on Sunday evening.
As per a report by TOI, the two students named Utkarsh Agarwal from The Assam Valley School (AVS), Balipara, Sonitpur, and Dhruv Himatsingka, a student of Sanskriti The Gurukul stood second in the rank holders list issued by CISCE.
''Since I was a child, I have been academically motivated. My parents were my driving force who kept motivating me to give my best,'' TOI Dhruv as saying.
Dhruv also said that he wasn't the type of student who studied 10 hours a day and paying attention in class throughout the year was his success mantra.
''I am especially grateful to the faculty at my school, who was always there to support me,'' he added.
Dhruv has scored 89.2 percentile in JEE Main this year and besides this, he has also been selected to pursue a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science at Imperial College, London.
On the other hand, Utkarsh has already joined a leading university in Singapore and left Assam last week to pursue electrical and electronics engineering.
''He was never worried about studies. We sent him to the residential school when he was in Class VIII because it took him a lot of time to go to his previous school in Sivasagar,'' TOI quoted Utkarsh's father as saying.
