LAKHIMPUR: The Lakhimpur district unit of the Veer Lachit Sena, Assam (VLSA), as per decision taken in an urgent meeting held on July 28, has expelled one office bearer and three primary members of the organization for their alleged anti-organizational activities and for joining another organization by allegedly violating the constitution of the organization. They are Lakhimpur district committee joint secretary Ananta Saikia, primary members Ritu Bora, Ajay Upadhyay and Dhrubajyoti Borah. They are also released from the primary membership of the organization.
It was declared by Lakhimpur district unit Veer Lachit Sena, Assam president Bhadrajit Dutta, chief secretary Rupankar Borah in a press conference convened at North Lakhimpur Press Club on Tuesday in the presence of other office bearers of the organization.
Addressing the media persons in the same press conference, the president and the chief secretary of the Veer Lachit Sena, Assam further informed that four more former members of the Lakhimpur district unit of the organization, namely Satyajit Dutta, Imran Khan, Makibur Hussain and Mizanur Rahman, who were already expelled, had taken the membership of ‘Lachit Sena’.
“The name of that organization is almost similar to ‘Veer Lachit Sena, Assam’. So, Veer Lachit Sena, Assam will not be responsible for any of their future activities. Further, we have initiated steps regarding the legal standard of that organization,” Bhadrajit Dutta and Rupankar Borah stated. They added that Veer Lachit Sena, Assam would not be responsible for any activities of Lachit Sena, which was floated by organizing a few persons by confusing the public.
