TEZPUR: Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan, a nationwide campaign covering 700 districts of India, is to be launched on May 29 by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. The objective of the programme is to reach 1 to 1.5 crore farmers across the country to create awareness about improved agricultural technologies as well as the allied sector among the farming community. As a part of the campaign, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sonitpur is going to organize a pre-kharif campaign from May 29 to June 12, in collaboration with district administration, district agriculture department, district fisheries, veterinary department, and other allied departments. A group consisting of scientists from KVK, Sonitpur, officers from concerned departments, and progressive farmers from the district will go from village to village covering eight development blocks of Sonitpur district and two development blocks of Biswanath district.
