SIVASAGAR: Popular Assamese singer Mahendra Hazarika was injured in an accident when his vehicle lost control and hit a tree near Dikhow Bridge in Sivasagar. The accident took place on Sunday night when Hazarika was on his way to Sivasagar from Joysagar. Hazarika was rescued from the vehicle with the help of local people and was rushed to Sivasagar Civil Hospital, Joysagar. He has suffered injuries on his head and hands. According to doctors, the condition of the artiste is stable now.
