DHUBRI: In a moment of immense pride for Assam, 11-year-old child, Manabi Sarkar from Barpeta Road, has recently been honoured with the prestigious International Records of Excellence Award in the Nava Bharat Utsav, 2025 held in Puri, Odisha for her outstanding contribution to spreading awareness about the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ mission through her remarkable paintings.
The event was organized by Indian Culture Development centre (ICDC), a non-government organization committed to India’s rich cultural heritage around the world. Manabi Sarkar,a student of class five of Manas Valley Academy, Barpeta Road has been passionately creating paintings for the last few years to advocate safety, education and empowerment for girls which have now earned her global recognition.
The International Records of Excellence applauded Manabi Sarkar’s dedication and creativity in using the art form as a medium to promote social change which has brought fame to Assam on an International platform. Expressing her joy, young Manabi Sarkar said, “Every girl should be safe, educated and empowered. Through my painting, I want people to support the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao mission.”
