Assam's Anuradha Roy To Represent India At Miss India World Wide Pageant 2025 In New York

Anuradha Roy from Guwahati, winner of Miss India Poland 2024, gears up for Miss India World Wide pageant in New York in September 2025. She aims to showcase Assam’s culture and tourism globally.

GUWAHATI: Anuradha Roy, winner of Miss India Poland 2024, prepares for the Miss India World Wide pageant in New York in September 2025. She intends to promote Assam's culture and tourism internationally.

Roy, hailing from Guwahati, has recently won the inaugural title of Miss India Poland 2024. The beauty pageant was organised by the India Poland Women’s Federation and Razvi Events for Indians living in Poland. She has also received the Miss Photogenic title at the same pageant held in Warsaw, Poland. Photogenic title at the same pageant held in Warsaw, Poland.

The 27-year-old triumphed over 400 contestants in the screening phase, with 16 advancing to the final round. In a press conference held in the city at the Guwahati Press Club today, she said that she is now geared up to participate in the Miss India World Wide pageant in New York in September 2025.

Anuradha Roy completed her secondary education at Kendriya Vidyalaya Khanapara in Guwahati and her higher secondary in humanities from Army Public School Narangi. She earned her bachelor’s degree with honours in psychology from the University of Delhi and holds two master’s degrees in clinical psychology and criminology.

While she grew up in Guwahati, she was fond of dance, music and enthusiastic in beauty pageant and also holds visharad in Bharatnatyam. From her school days she used to participate in various beauty events both in schools and competitions and won several recognitions. She would like to establish Assam’s proud Culture, Tourisim and Assamese Mekhela Sador in the global platform.

In her speech she said, "I would like to stay in Assam very much. I love Assam to spare my leisure time here with my family, friends, and people of this very beautiful state. I would like to establish the state and its culture on the global platform in tourism."

In 2021, Anuradha received a scholarship from the Polish government to pursue further studies. She is currently working as a senior technical recruiter in Poland and practices as a psychologist alongside.
