Bandh called by Tiwa bodies hits normal life

MORIGAON: The 12-hour bandh called by Tiwa organizations evoked total response in Morigaon district. During the bandh, no sporadic or any untoward incident took place except some tyre-burning incidents. All business establishments remained closed during the bandh. In Morigaon town, attendance of officials in various offices was poor.

The Tiwa organization called the 12-hour bandhto demand exclusion ofDimaria area of Tiwa Autonomous Council under Kamrup (metro) and the Jagiroad Development Authority under Mayong Revenue Circle from the map of ASCRDA-2017 (Assam State Capital Region Development Authority).
