GOLAGHAT: A luxury scheme ‘Bhramyaman Amar Dukan’ taken up by Government of Assam under Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs department was inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner Dhiren Hazarika in Golaghat on Friday.
Inaugurating the Bhramyaman Amar Dukan, Dhiren Hazarika said that Government of Assam has taken a scheme namely ‘mobile amar dukan’ through the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs department to provide food stuff to the public at cheapest rate. The common people could buy the essential food in the bhramyaman amar dukan in their locality at their choiceable rate. This mobile shop could cover the village and tea garden areas also and the people of rural areas would benefit.
Golaghat is the first district of Assam that officially inaugurated the mobile amar dukan to public. In Golaghat district there are thirteen mobile amar dukan that were sanctioned by the government at 50% subsidy and on Friday three of them were provided to its applicants. In the inaugurating programme the Chief Executive Officer of Golaghat Zila Parishad Abhijit Baruah, Additional DC Sushma Hazarika, Dhiraj Das and officials of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs were present.
