BJP Kishan Morcha wing felicitates farmers in Dhubri district

DHUBRI: Five ideal farmers of Dhubri district were felicitated in the first executive body meeting of Dhubri district unit Bharatiya Janata Party's KishanMorcha at KalahatGaonPanchayat Hall under Dharmasala Mandal of Dhubri district on Friday.

The meeting presided over by Dhubri district unit KishanMorcha president AmitAgarwala while flag of the party was hoisted by BJP district president Dr. DebamoySanyal.

At the onset of the programmes, the party paid rich floral tribute to music maestro Dr. Bhupen Hazarika while the national song VandeMataram was played.

Apart from these, religious rituals performed to the nangal (manual ploughing instrument) and tractor for being integral part of farmers' lives.

The five farmers were felicitated with phulamgamochha, citation, umbrella and torchlight.

Speaking in the meeting, Dhubri district unit party president Dr. DebamoySanyal called upon the farmers to take advantages of schemes launched by State and Central government run by the BJP aiming at to double the income of farmers.

"Three bills were passed last month in parliament by the BJP in order to benefit the farmers immensely as freedom of selling the agriculture produces anywhere in the country where they get better price, is one of the many benefits in the three bills enacted," Dr. Sanyal said.

The meeting was also addressed by former State vice-president of the party, BimalOswal, District in-charge (Prahari) of KishanMorcha, RajendraNath and many other district leaders.

The meeting resolved to reach out to each and every farmer and instructed party workers to campaign vigorously and create awareness about government's schemes and programmes meant for farmers including soil testing free of cost.
