The Bharatiya Janata Party inaugurated a new election office at Balipara Bazar on Thursday to manage the campaign of its candidate for the 48 No. Tangla Legislative Assembly constituency, Bikan Chandra Deka, ahead of the Assam Assembly General Election.

The office was formally opened by former VCDC Chairman Kiran Ch Boro in the presence of BJP leader Harakanta Das.

Addressing those present at the inauguration, Das expressed confidence that the BJP would win more than 90 seats in the upcoming assembly polls.

He also made a constituency-specific pledge, saying that if the BJP is voted back to power, an ITI college would be established in Kalaigaon — a promise likely to resonate with voters seeking vocational education infrastructure in the area.
