JAMUGURIHAT: The Bahubhasik Sahitya Mancha (BSM) and Asom Kabi Samaj have condoled the death of Bhoggiri Ray Choudhary, former head of the Assamese department of B. Boorah College and former magazine secretary of Axam Xahitya Xabha and Jagat Chandra Bora; noted poet and president of Guwahati City Kabi Samaj. In a press release, BSM president Dilosh Lakhindar Singha and chief secretary Dipak Sarma have stated that the people of Assam have lost two great literateures of Assam and it would be a huge loss to the literature and cultural field of the State. The president of Asom Kabi Samaj, Rajendra Bordoloi has stated that the two legendary departed souls had contributed a great deal towards uplifting of Assamese literature and culture as well.
