Bodoland Book Fair gets underway in Kokrajhar

Gabindo Chandra Basumatary wished for the grand success of the event. Around 60 book stalls are there in the book fair, which will continue for seven days from Thursday.

KOKRAJHAR: The Bodoland Book Fair- 2023 got underway from Thursday at Bodofa Cultural Complex, Chandamari, Kokrajhar. The Deputy Chief Executive Member of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), Gabindo Chandra Basumatary graced the occasion as the chief guest and inaugurated the event amidst well gathering. The event was organized by the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) in connection with the 2nd Kokrajhar Lit Fest, 2023 (Kokrajhar Literary Festival).\

In his speech, Gabindo Chandra Basumatary wished for the grand success of the event. Around 60 book stalls are there in the book fair, which will continue for seven days from Thursday.

Among others, MLA of Kokrajhar East (ST) Legislative Assembly Constituency Lawrence Islary, Executive Members of BTC, Dr Nilut Swargiary, Daobaisa Boro, Secretary of BTC, Naren Chandra Basumatary, ABSU president Dipen Boro were present in the programme.

The Deputy Commissioner of Kokrajhar, Varnali Deka also attended the inaugural function and wished the event a grand success. She perused the stalls and interacted with the various publishers and book stall keepers.
