TANGLA: Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Dy CEM Gobinda Chandra Basumatary formally distributed appointment letters to 1,337 Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) qualified candidates at a ceremonial event at Udalguri College on Wednesday. The candidates were selected as graduate and post graduate teachers of Middle English (ME) and high schools across the five districts of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). According to reports, the appointment included 137 post graduate teachers and 1200 graduate teachers. During the event, Basumatary addressed the newly-appointed teachers, offering his heartfelt congratulations and urging them to carry out their duties with dedication. He highlighted the critical role that teachers play in shaping the future of children, emphasising that teaching is an art form, further encouraging the new educators to focus beyond textbook-oriented methods and inspiring them to impart knowledge in a manner that nurtures students into responsible, capable, and successful adults. The ceremony was attended by BTC Executive Members Wilson Hasda, Daobaisa Boro, Dr Nilut Swargiary, Diganta Baruah, and MCLA Bhaben Boro, among others.
