Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) to appoint over 800 LP and ME school teachers by July

KOKRAJHAR: In a significant initiative, the Department of Education, BTC, prepared to fill up over 800 vacant posts of teachers in LP and ME schools in BTC.

Talking to mediapersons at the office of the Director of Education, the Education Secretary of BTC Amarjyoti Barman said that the Bodofa Super-50 Mission had been enhanced to 50+ while the council government had decided to bear 75 percent while 25 percent will be from the students for Bodofa Super-50 Mission for UPAC and APSC from 2026. He said that in 2025, students would get 100 percent support as earlier.       

Barman said that July 3 would be the last date to apply for the posts of Asst Teachers in LP and ME schools. He said that eligible candidates from the newly-included villages of Sonitpur and Biswanath districts could apply for the posts, with the vacant posts being 700 to 800 or more. The vacant posts of Kokrajhar Govt College would be filled up by the Government of Assam (APSC). He further said that over 5,000 appointment letters were distributed in the last four and half years in the education department.

Meanwhile, the Director of Education, BTC JP Brahma said that there will be 3 percent reservation for the candidates of martyr’s families in the teachers’ appointment in LP and ME schools.
